Hey guys, this is my music profile about Bruno Mars whom I ADORE! He is an amazingly talented musician ( a very adorable one at that ) who's distinct voice has propelled him onto the top of the charts. He first started out writing songs as well as producing songs for other artists such as Brandy, K'naan and Flo'rida proving that he had what it takes to make hits in the business but he wanted more. He didn't move all the way from Hawaii to just become a producer. He wanted to be an enteretainer and make his own music. It wasn't until his hit with B.O.B Nothing On You, that he was finally given the attention and recognition as an artist that he deserved. I mean come on, I know I wasn't the only one wondering who's sexy voice was singing the hook on that song. He then went on to release Just the way you are, a sweet song about a man trying to convince his significant other that she dosn't need to change herself because she amazing just the way she is ( pretty self explanatory). That song went to become #1 on the billboard charts as well as a radio sensation. After that hit , he then went on the release a song called Grenade, a song about a man who's love is unrecipricated by a girl that he cares deeply for. That song went on to once again go #1 on the billboard charts proving that he was definitely a force to be reconed within the music business. His album Doo-wops in Hooligans has already gone platinum here in Canada (first country for this album to go platinum) as well as the United States, United Kingdom and has even gone Gold in Belgium. His spectacular performance at the grammy's blew the audience aways as he did a old school doo-wop rendition of grenade. He also carried home the grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for Just the way you Are. He continues to tour currently with Janelle Monae on the Hooligans in Wonderland Tour, (Sadly none of his tour dates are coming to Toronto :( ) as well as play other shows. He played for the NBA allstar game and recently played the Lazy Song on American Idol. I definitely don't see the light of this 25 year old puerto pino (LOL he's half puerto rican half filipino) dimming any time soon. His crazy, down to earth and humble and humourous personality has also made his way into the hearts of many women (me included duh!). I know he will continue to release bad ass sultry sexy music along with his production company the smeezingtons. I urge you to pick up a copy of Doo- wops and Hooligans on iTunes, HMV or wherever else you get your music fix.
