Swaggin with the box braids

Music Profile: J. Cole

Hey those that keep up with my blog. I'm here with another music profile on J.Cole. I'm really loving his music, and his songs are forever on repeat on my IPod. He kind of reminds me of 2 Pac, the way he keeps his music real talking about real struggles and his upbringing and he's mad intelligent. He's from North Carolina and is currently signed to Jay-Z's roc nation label, along with label mate and constant collaborator Wale. His mixtapes include The Come Up, The Warm Up , Friday Night Lights  and The Return of Simba to name a few. My personal favourites are Lights Please, You got it, and It won`t be long. When you get the time Youtube J.Cole and get lifted by a real articulated rapper with a rediculous flow and creatively put together lyrics. His album ``Cole World`` will be dropping soon. So be on the look out. I know I will :D

Celebrating 7 months of being Natural

Hello Blogosphere. This week marks 7 months since my last relaxer! I know a lot of people think I am crazy for considering this a milestone, but it's a milestone for me, since this is the longest in my memory that I have gone without a relaxer. I am currently still transitioning with poetic justice (or box) braids at the moment. My hair seems to be very strong with little to no breakage compared to when my hair was relaxed. I can't wait to take out my braids and embrace my natural kinky curly hair with time. Here are some photos to celebrate
natural hair and keep my motivated on my hair journey.
